The medical migration problem
Medical device assemblies carry the highest switching cost of any adhesive application: the incumbent is embedded in a validated process, a regulatory submission and often a biocompatibility file. That is precisely why single-source exposure on a medical adhesive is a risk item — and why the right way to address it is a qualified second source, not an unqualified cheaper product. Matching your process, not just your spec
- Fluorescence for inline inspection: most grades are offered with a built-in UV tracer (F versions), so existing vision/blacklight inspection stations remain valid.
- Viscosity families: the same chemistry in wicking, self-levelling, and thixotropic non-sag versions (T/VT suffixes) lets you match the incumbent's dispensing behaviour closely — or fix a dispensing problem you already have.
- Cure source: candidates are matched to your installed UV or LED equipment and cycle time during the engineering review.
- Sterilisation: grades noted sterilisation-stable in the database are confirmed against your specific method (EtO, gamma, autoclave) during qualification — Incure will state plainly what has and has not been verified for your process.
A qualification path built for medical change control
The qualification toolkit provides the migration checklist, comparison-report format and a sample protocol covering initial and aged bond strength, thermal cycling, humidity ageing, chemical immersion, peel/impact, cure-depth verification, fluorescence inspection, sterilisation testing and a production trial. Incure supports the documentation; your quality system owns the decision.
